Educational outreach is an important part of LeSo Gallery’s mission and we are committed to developing and implementing workshops aimed towards youth.  So far, LeSo has hosted a small amount of workshops for inner-city youth and plans to expand this program into our upcoming year.  Other workshops and artistic opportunities will also take place this season for adults that support both novice and experienced artists.  All three of LeSo’s staff members are well-trained and experienced artists and educators with a true passion for arts education.

Interested in Teaching a Class or Workshop?

We are always looking for talented, engaging teachers/artists who are interested in teaching in our space. Please email us a description of the class you are interested in teaching with a suggested cost, dates and materials list. You will then be contacted by a team member to continue planning or development if it fits within our schedule.

LeSo Gallery is a modern urban gallery space perfect for private parties, corporate events, and small fundraisers.  Rates are hourly, with a two-hour minimum, and include the use of gallery facilities, ample parking, and the services of at least one of our team members.  Within the space is a fully functioning bar equipped with two sinks and a small refrigerator, exposed brick walls, and original 1903 tin ceiling.  These features juxtaposed to the new interior architecture, flooring, and lighting, create an atmosphere that seamlessly blend the old and the new.

As a community-centered gallery, LeSo is dedicated to impacting our community as best we can.  We are always open to outreach ideas and opportunities, and are actively looking for the perfect avenues to take.  Recently, LeSo hosted an exhibition, Driving Out Hunger, in conjunction with local food pantry Food For Thought. In July 2013, LeSo participated in a Kickstarter fundraising campaign that gave us the opportunity to employ local artist, Mr.Taylor, to paint a mural on the east wall of the gallery.  This allowed us to bring beauty and pride back to the East Side.  LeSo Gallery also serves as a Ronald McDonald House pop tab donation center, many of which we save from our opening and closing events.  In our upcoming season, we are planning to engage our community with local artist-designed window displays and youth-incorporated murals.
